Facta non Verba!
Metta Charity Run 2015
Date: Fri, Jan 23, 2015
Subject: VWO Expo
Around 450 students and 16 organisations participated in this successful event, and feedback given by both organisations and students alike are that they enjoyed this novel format.
Bartley Secondary School's Learning for Life Programme (LLP) is in Community Youth Leadership (CYL), and all Upper Sec students are encouraged to pursue VIA projects of their own liking, instead of the school organising it for them. This allows them to take full ownership of the project, put their leadership skills into action, and help them learn the ropes of forming their own community service projects. This helps them to develop into Resilient and Responsible Leaders, and live up to our motto of Facta Non Verba, Deeds Not Words
"I think that the VWO expo was an excellent learning experience. The person who organized the VWO expo should be complimented as it’s an idea that is very much appreciated by most of the students as it was very helpful in helping us to partner with the right organization.I think there should be a VWO expo every year (:"

Dear Miss Soh,
Good day. This is email is regarding a student from your school, Miss Rachel Lai Li Ling. She participated in our fundraising event, the Pertapis Flag Day 2013, on the 27 April, Saturday for the AM shift.
Recently we have also been notified that she organized a group of friends from her tuition centre to participate in the donation card collection for the pre-flag day donation drive between 22 March 2013 to 27 April and continued with the street donation on the actual Flag day, 27 April 2013.
We applaud her for the leadership and compassionate nature of helping this good cause. She is a role model and a capable future leader to look forward to. Please send our regards to her, we wish her, the best for her future endeavours.
Following are the students from Bartley Secondary School who have participated in the Pertapis Flag Day from class 4N2.
