First Day of School Announcement

Welcome back to school! 🥳

Do read the following carefully.

We will be starting the new school year soon. We would like to remind you of the following.

Things to Bring

1. You are to bring the following items daily:

  • English storybook 📔

  • Water bottle 🍼

  • Personal Learning Devices (fully charged) 💻

  • Lock to safekeep your mobile phone 🔐

  • Functional thermometer 🌡

  • Report book to submit on the first day of school 📚

Reporting Time & Venue

2. We are starting school on Tuesday, 2 Jan 2024. You are expected to report to school by 7.30am. You are to proceed to the classroom directly. ⏱️

Attire

3. For Sec 2: Polo T and bermudas/ skirt.

For Sec 3/4/5: Polo T and pants/skirt, bring PE attire for team bonding games.

Sleep Habits & Punctuality

4. Regulate your sleep pattern. Start having a 7 to 8-hour sleep at night and practise waking up at 6am or earlier so that you can be punctual for school.

Health and Safety

5. Practise personal hygiene. Wash your hands with soap and water regularly. Exercise responsibility. If you have flu symptoms, see a doctor, and wear a mask. This is to prevent the spread of virus.

6. Wear a mask especially if you travelling in public transport to protect yourself.

7. Hydrate yourself regularly with plain water.

Personal Grooming

8. Boys are to have a proper haircut, so as to project a decent and respectful image. Refer to page 7 of the school rules in the link below for the acceptable style.

- Strictly no undercut/mullets/racetracks.

- Fringe must not touch the eyebrows when pulled down.

- Sideburns must not extend below the middle part of the ear.

- There must be no facial hair.

9. Girls must tie up the hair if it is shoulder length or longer. Clip the fringe and loose hair at the sides. 👧🏻

10. Prepare uniform for school. Wear the beige uniform on Mondays and Polo T-shirt on other days. Wear a pair of white shoes with white socks.

11. If your hair is dyed, ensure that it is dyed back to black before reporting to school on the first day.

12. Students with outlandish grooming and attire will face consequences ranging from detention to being sent home immediately to rectify the issue. Click on the link to refer to the school rules.
